Next Rockford actively engages in initiatives designed to make Rockford an epicenter of cultural, commercial, educational and recreational activities. To support these objectives, the committee supports and advocates for Rockford’s downtown redevelopment and other urban-development initiatives such as green space expansion.

Additionally, the committee works to establish relationships with local, state and federal elected officials and organizations to advocate on behalf of issues important to our members.

Through outreach to legislators and participation in groups such as the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Council, Next Rockford identifies and advocates positions within the political arena to make Rockford and the surrounding area a better place to live, work and raise our families.
